About Matthew 

 

Matthew grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated from Oak Hills High School in 2003 and went on to study Music, History, Art, and Languages at university, graduating from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon in 2012.

​

Matthew has created art work for productions on CBS, ESPN, and YouTube. He has created 6 books for the"Extreme Mazes" series (MindWare, Inc.), and  in 2017 he completed his 9th and 10th books:  Cincinnati Mazes (self) and Windy City Mazes (Reedy Press). 

 

He currently lives and works in Chicago, Illinois while and travels to Chicago's many Sister Cities for upcoming maze projects.  He is honored to have received recognition as  Chicago's Visual Artist of the Year  for both the 2013 and 2014 RAWartists Awards. (5th and 6th annual RAWartists Awards). 

 

In January of 2015, Matthew broke Joe Wos' record for the World's Largest Hand-Drawn Maze. Check out the Impossible.com Maze Here!

 

Matthew is a dedicated father, and he enjoys sharing his passion for creativity with others.
